Letter to Publishers

Dear esteemed fellow publisher,

I'd like to introduce myself in hopes that I can contribute articles to you for reproduction. I am running for Union County Freeholder as an Independent, and I will be writing about the issues that concern the county. I will offer my observations, opinions and recommendations for improvement.

As an experienced writer, I understand what would make my article worthy of your paper and interesting to your readers. I also understand the sensitivity of politics as news, so the content of my articles will concentrate more on the administration of government and not the political.

My campaign will mainly consist of me getting my views out. I hope there is an opportunity to do so regularly through your publication. You may visit my website at www.joerenna.com and read articles and opinions that I have posted. They are available for reprint upon permission. I will be posting onto my website regularly as well as using the message board of nj.com/forums/union as an interactive forum to discuss issues.

Enclosed is a copy of the latest issue of my publication, Around About Peterstown. On page 3 you will find my opinion piece which explains the basis of why I'm running and what I hope to accomplish. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I like writing it. I have been publishing the paper for 5 years. I print 15,000 every two months. I consider this a hobby since I do work full time as a public relations official for Runnells Specialized Hospital of Union County.

I'm working on a near zero budget and will be addressing issues that concern the county through my writing. I am relying on local publications, like yours, as a forum for my opinions. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Sincerely,

Joseph Renna
